The Lies Surrounding "Bio-essentialism"
There Is No Other Way to Define Women Other Than Biologically
After the monumental ruling in Britain that stunned the world with its emphasis on reality and fairness by stating men are not women, the reactions of some supporters of “trans” rights spoke volumes with regard to their seemingly total misunderstanding of biological reality and its logical consequences.
Based upon their vociferous protests, it appears the supporters of allowing men in women’s sports oppose the idea of “bio-essentialism,” which means everyone’s nature and qualities must be innate rather than a product of circumstances, individualism, or culture, thereby enabling women to be judged and oppressed as a group, which has been true for most of history and still is true for much of the world.
The term is used pejoratively and accusatorily, and the critics of those of us who understand women are adult human females wholly misunderstand or intentionally misrepresent what we mean when we say sex is binary and immutable.
I found this baffling because I considered the point that sex is real as an undeniable given, not a tacit endorsement of sexism and misogyny, and I expected basically rational adults to understand this.
It appears many do not, and it contributes to the confusion and nonsense which surround this issue.
