Readers, some of you may have been aware that “Detrans Awareness Day” was on March 12, 2025.
Established in 2021, “Detrans Awareness Day” is meant to honor the experience of “detransitioners” and make the public aware of the dangers of “gender ideology.”
Secretary of Education Linda McMahon hosted several survivors of medical abuse, including Chloe Cole and Elle Palmer.
There are a few problems with having a day for “detrans” awareness, however.
Those are that there is no such thing as “transition;” concordantly there is no such thing as “detransition” either. Simply using these terms as though they have validity means the fight against the “trans” lie is automatically lost because it is largely a linguistics battle.
Although some may argue that it is overly pedantic to nitpick over the use of terms since it is not that important, that approach is utterly wrong.
