I do not believe that transgender people become the opposite sex or gender. I believe this person is a man. I define transgender as someone who prefers to dress as, and imitate the behavior of, the opposite sex. I object to removing the most obviously objectionable people from the category in order to make the category appear more sympathetic. A woman is an adult female.

Someone who dresses as or imitates the opposite sex did not enter a category known as "transgender."

They're still their own sex. Men in dresses, men who do more feminine things like listen or not commit violent crime.

Even using the word is an admission that it exists--it does not because it cannot. Just call them men because the language is the battle. Don't use it and you've won.

Mr. Tino is not "transgender." He's just a man.

Adults capable of giving consent CAN do whatever they please, as long as it is not illegal. If they choose to indulge a compulsion, and can pay for that indulgence, no one can stop them. What they CAN'T do is force everyone to humor them in this compulsion. We need to continue to strengthen laws protecting women-only spaces, and there has been good progress in that regard. More and more folks are feeling confident that they can speak out against the TWAW nonsense and the law and the courts are protecting them. Transsexualism is a form of sexual exhibitionism. We need to continually shout that from the rooftops until the world acknowledges it.

Expand full comment
Kat Highsmith's avatar

Adults cannot demand lobotomies or endless opioids or endless Adderrall for weight loss if they're anorexics.

This isn't about consenting adults. This is a medical scandal involving healthcare, laws, insurance, money, public policy, lawsuits.

If this boils down to just men wearing dresses, you need to say that and be specific. But that will always devolve into men making more demands, so they need to be told NO just like people who binge food are told to avoid triggers like donuts.

There is no way to pass laws to strengthen women-only spaces if we tell men that they're adults and they can do what they want. What they want to do is be declared women--and it has worked. The problem starts in the doctor's office, which goes back to my original point.

Expand full comment
Pat Duran's avatar

People have all sorts of cosmetic surgery that is dangerous; some even die from it. Being able to take risks with your choices in life is what being an adult is all about. I don't want the government deciding for us what elective surgeries we can opt or and which not. There are people who have had "transitioning" treatments who are doing well and are perfectly happy; trying to ban these treatments for adults is not a wise use of political capital.

Expand full comment
Kat Highsmith's avatar

Pat, this is not cosmetic surgery, just like lobotomies and removing healthy limbs are not cosmetic. Doctors say no to those all the time.

This man isn't just looking for cosmetics. I explained this in the article, and multiple times previously. He got himself declared a woman legally, changed his documents, and now will cause all sorts of problems.

Now 15% of prisoners in female prisons are male. Do you understand that is inevitable, if you try the ADULTS CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT nonsense?

I do not care if there is a small percentage of men who got nose jobs, call themselves Brenda, and are now happy with it.

There were people who got lobotomies and were fine--lobotomies were still banned because the overall damages in aggregate was too great.

So, no, it's not about governments. This is a medical scandal. The medical industry will stop when the lawsuits shut it down.

Until you understand that, you will spin your wheels in the mud with this CONSENTING ADULTS CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT AND THEY'RE HAPPY! nonsense.

This will end. The government can tell people what to do everyday, in serious ways. The government comes down like a ton of bricks on people when it wants to. Let's stop acting like we live in libertarian paradise.

And if this is allowed for adults, the children are inevitable. Opening the gate to this flood means it's inexorable.

It all has to be stopped.

Expand full comment
Lida H's avatar

Yes. People like this guy are attempting to "normalize" and indeed romanticize these surgeries and entire "way of life" by promoting it all over social media, where impressionable children and adolescents spend so much of their time.

It is essentially immersive advertising carried out to a degree and intensity never previously thought possible by modern advertising executives. I find the promotion of these surgeries in such a manner unconscionable. Civilized societies should surely not promote chemical and surgical castration on their young? Considering who the most heavily affected cohorts are (the neurodivergent and young gays and lesbians) only reinforces to me how shockingly devoid of ethics and even basic human empathy those pushing and enabling this entire project are.

Expand full comment
Pat Duran's avatar

The idea of consenting adults having the freedom to do what they will to their bodies AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE is fundamental to the idea of a free people. Advocating for laws that would prohibit certain cosmetic procedures is an extremist position. There is no reason for us to go there; that way lies fascism.

There is a woman trying to make herself into a cat, and a man wanting to look like a snake. These are not things I would do to myself, but as long as they are doing this ON THEIR OWN DIME, it is none of my business nor yours nor the government's.

Men presenting as women doesn't make them women, but it also shouldn't make them the object of abuse of any kind. Tolerance is an important value in a democracy; there will always be folks doing things the rest of us don't consider "normal." But as long as they are not infringing on the rights, safety and opportunities of others we do not have the right to force them into conformity.

Expand full comment
Kat Highsmith's avatar

Pat, you do not seem to understand how the medical industry works.

Could you walk into a doctor's office and demand a lobotomy to pay for at your own expense? Or unlimited opioids to pay for at your own expense? Or removal of a healthy leg due to apotemnophilia at your own expense?

Explain.

Expand full comment
Pat Duran's avatar

Cosmetic surgery is not brain surgery, it is an elective surgery which patients ASK FOR. Even relatively limited cosmetic procedures can result in severe adverse effects, even death, because they generally require the administration of anesthesia, which is the most dangerous component of surgery. Are you calling for the prohibition of all cosmetic surgery?

Testosterone is not a schedule 1 drug, like opioids; it is classified as a schedule 3 drug, the lowest level of controlled substances; estrogen is not a classified drug at all. And yes, it is very common for patients to ASK doctors to prescribe specific drugs; it's the reason the pharmaceutical companies spend millions on advertising!

You are failing to make a distinction between types of surgery and drugs, and that is resulting in an over-simplification of the issue.

It hasn't died out over the centuries, it will be harder to restrain it now.

As for minors, we generally allow parents to make these kinds of decisions for their children, such as deciding against getting their kids vaccinated, even though that might lead to disability or even death.

What we can do is extend the statute of limitations on malpractice suits to the age of 40, strengthen statutes and regulations regarding informed consent, and put limits on the parental immunity doctrine which prohibits children from suing their parents. Parents who do not exercise due diligence in health care decisions for their children should be subject to lawsuits.

There needs to be a new definition for this paraphilia. The group that has it includes, “flashers”, those dirty men that rub their privates up against you on public transport (clothed) and so forth, and these ⬆️ people.

They actually receive sexual gratification by causing shock, disgust and fear to women. They get off on the look on your face when you realize what’s going on.

“Exhibitionism” doesn’t cover it. The “flashers” don’t get off on feeling the cool night air on their penis, they get off on the visual (and visible) distress they cause to their victims, who are always women and girls. They don’t cause the same distress to males, most of whom would either laugh or sneer. Only to women and girls, and it is done intentionally. Therefore, going out looking and acting like this is a sex crime, and it needs to be treated as such.
